Topic: Comparing Features of Two Popular Notetakers, BrailleNote and Pac
Mate
Presenters: Rob Turner. 818-445-8853. rbturner1 at sbcglobal.net and Mike
Stearn
The Accessible World in partnership with Talking Communities is proud to
offer another Tek Talk online event Monday, April 30, 2007, when two
experienced computer and access technology veterans will compare the PAC
Mate and BrailleNote mPower note takers from a consumer's perspective.
Some of the features to be compared are: built-in help, synchronizing data
with a PC, editing text, web browsing, and file management. Audience
participants will have opportunities to ask questions and offer their
feedback. The
objective of the comparison is to give potential buyers a general feel for
how each note taker functions.
The two presenters are well qualified to lead this discussion. Mike
Stearn is a long time computer programmer with Los Angeles county and a
part time access technology trainer. Rob Turner was a computer programmer
for eighteen years and has had over ten years experience providing
technical support and access technology training.
:Following the presentations, there will be sufficient time for questions
and comments from the audience. So, tell all your friends to join you.
Seating is unlimited.
