Cory:

If you have Outlook Express set to view messages by "conversation", and you've selected a message that is one of several in a "conversation", Outlook Express will delete the entire group if you hit the "yes" option in that dialogue.  

I think Outlook Express groups all messages with same subject or replies to same as a "conversation".
