FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

Topic 1: QuickMix: What It Is and How To Use It
Topic 2: Various Ways To Open Programs and Drives With Shortcuts

Presenter 1: Walt Kramer (wokwest at charter.net)

Presenter 2: Gene Asner [gsasner at ripco.com]

The Accessible World Tek Talk training event, in partnership with Talking
Communities, is focusing this week on two topics that will enhance
usability and accessibility whether you are a beginner, intermediate or
advanced computer user.

The process of setting volume levels for recording or on-line voice chats
can involve several steps. Taken separately, these steps can lengthen the
set-up process unreasonably. That's why there's Quickmix. This free
program,
involves creating customized shortcuts, each of which includes all steps
and
settings involved in configuring the computer for specific applications.
Walt Kramer will demonstrate Quickmix and show us
(1) How to adjust settings to create a customized Quickmix shortcut,
(2) How to create the Quickmix shortcut itself, and
(3) How to get Quickmix.

Gene Asner will then explain in detail the usual way to create shortcuts to
allow fast and convenient opening of programs and drives, as well as
alternate ways to do this where the usual method may not work. He will
also
describe how to create shortcuts to audio streams.

Following the presentations, there will be sufficient time for questions
and
comments from the audience. So, tell all your friends to join you. Seating
is unlimited.
