Try going to http://www.blind-geek-zone.net/programs.htmm and getting the Miranda 0.7 zip file there.  Also, you'll find an installer for the jaws scripts.  This version of Miranda doesn't appear to be part of the standard Miranda distro.  

After extracting all the files and running the Miranda for the first time, go to the "plugins" category under "options", and be sure that "clist_blind", "srmm" and the plugins for the messenger services you want to use are checked, and that anything you don't want is unchecked.

    I got a pointer to the special contact list and the version of Miranda with which it works best.  Also, there is a set of JFW scripts that make the thing a bit more convenient.
